What is Accreditation?

High school accreditation ensures that schools meet high-quality educational and operational standards, and assures schools, colleges and universities worldwide that credits were earned through rigorous, standards-based curriculum. A school that has received accreditation has been reviewed by an authorized accreditation body to show that their their internal processes and systems meet a high standard of education. Schools are required to demonstrate how well their policies, programs, and practices are working together to meet the needs of every learner.

Being granted accreditation status is not a one-time event, rather it is an ongoing process. Schools are held accountable to proving their continuous improvement and student achievements. Students taking classes from accredited schools can be confident that the credits they earn from their courses will be recognized by other high schools, colleges, and universities.
