It is an international accrediting body that reviews schools based on the following Performance Standards for learning: healthy culture, leadership, engagement, and growth. Students attending education institutions with Cognia accreditation can be assured that they are benefiting from a high-quality education recognized around the globe.
Many of our courses have NCAA-approval (school code: 853570), which is important for students planning to play an NCAA sport at a Division I or Division II college. Speak to our Academic Coach to discuss if you should enroll in NCAA-approved courses. Our course pages indicate if they are NCAA-approved.
Students planning to apply to a University of California (UC) school are required to complete 15 year-long high school courses that have been approved by the University of California. These guidelines are designed to ensure students are well prepared to succeed at a University of California school. Most of our courses have UC A-G approval and are offered through seamless dual enrollment with Holston Academy.
College Board is a mission-driven, not-for-profit organization that connects students to college success. 2Sigma School’s Advanced Placement® (AP®) courses have been authorized by the College Board through AP® Course Audits to ensure that our coursework meets the level of rigor equivalent to a college course. 2Sigma School has been approved as an Online Course Provider in the Washington State by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI). Washington schools can offer our courses to their students for credit. Students and families can review our approved courses and enroll on our website to receive high school credits.
2Sigma School has been awarded a statewide contract (#1023) by the office of management and enterprise services to offer online course curriculum and other digital tools to enhance K-12 education in Computer Science, Data Science, Cybersecurity, and Artificial Intelligence. Oklahoma schools can offer our courses to their students for credit. Students and families can review our approved courses on the Horizon Digitally Enhanced Campus Catalog and request their schools to offer them.
2Sigma School has received approval status for four Computer Science courses for grades 9-12 from the Florida Department of Education. Florida schools may offer these courses to their students for credit.
2Sigma School is recognized by Carnegie Mellon University's Computer Science Academy (CMU CS Academy) as an instruction provider offering their curriculum, such as Advanced Computer Science in Python. Students may earn CMU transcripts upon passing a CMU administered exam.
2Sigma School is an approved provider of Online Credit-Bearing Courses for all schools administered by the Frisco Independent School District, Texas. District schools can offer our courses to their students for credit.
