Google supports 2Sigma School's mission
Santa Clara, CA (June 13, 2022) —
2Sigma School is proud to be supported by Google in its mission to provide high-touch education in foundational computer science to students from underrepresented communities in STEM education. Google's support will
help make a meaningful impact towards increasing equitable access to computer science education.
"Over 50% of our students who took a full year of classes in high school computer science, including AP computer science, come from underrepresented communities who did not have access to such foundational education in 21st century skills,"
said Vishal Goenka, CEO of 2Sigma School. "2Sigma School partners with high schools nationwide and brings qualified teachers, standards aligned curriculum, modern educational tools, and effective blended learning pedagogy as a simple service.
We are excited to have Google's support in this important mission."
"Google is committed to making diversity, equity, and inclusion part of everything we do — from how we build our products to how we grow our workforce. Working with 2Sigma to support the delivery of virtual STEM classes opens doors to students
from underrepresented groups and gives them a launchpad for successful future careers." — Shiv Venkataraman, Vice President and General Manager at Google.
